Tucked into the rolling vineyards and horse pastures of Sebastopol, this Sovignon Ranch wedding was Sonoma County wine country at its most romantic. As a Sonoma County wedding photographer, I get to shoot at a lot of beautiful venues, but there’s something about Sovignon Ranch’s mix of rustic barns, wide-open pasture, and golden late-afternoon light that makes it one of my favorite Sebastopol wedding venues — rustic wood, string lights, and a taco cart to boot.

The ceremony took place beneath a canopy of trees on the property, with vineyard views stretching out behind the guests — a classic Sebastopol wedding backdrop if there ever was one.

Between the ceremony and reception, the details told their own story: a lace gown hung from a rustic chandelier, and a taco cart kept everyone fed wine-country style long before the sun went down.

As golden hour settled in, the reception tables filled in under string lights, and the barn doors opened for a night of dinner, toasts, and dancing.

Sonoma County weddings are as much about the people as the place, and this one was full of the kind of quiet, in-between moments that make wine country celebrations so special.

From quiet vows under the trees to a barn full of dancing under string lights, this Sovignon Ranch wedding was everything a Sebastopol wine country celebration should be.
